Counter-Strike Xtreme is a community CS 1.6-style mod with custom weapons, maps, and chaotic side modes. On csxtreme.io you play that Xtreme experience in the browser — no installer, no Steam client, no extra launcher.
This site is a browser revival based on the classic Xtreme V6 package. The game loads through a WebAssembly client, then you pick a live server and Join. It is the same flavor of Xtreme people remember from the 2012 era, rebuilt so it runs on csxtreme.io.
Browser play vs the 2012 ModDB download
If you search “counter strike xtreme”, you will still find the original ModDB download. That package is an offline install for people who want the full desktop client. This site is different: it is the play-in-browser version.
